meet the band

COYOTE SMOKE is a New Hampshire based six-piece blending indie rock with a gritty, raw Americana twang. Fronted by singer songwriters Jordan Cowley and Gabbi Toribio, the band formed in 2024 after the two met at their local hub, The Stone Church Music Club. Their powerful vocal chemistry and high energy live shows have quickly made them a rising presence on the Seacoast music scene.

Jordan Cowley, grew up in a family where music was always present. Inspired by the talent of his grandparents, and by the deep appreciation for music he shared with his stepdad, he began singing and playing guitar at a young age. He discovered early on that music could be a language for emotion- a realization sparked by his high school music teacher, and one that continues to shape his songwriting and stage presence today.

Gabbi Toribio has been playing guitar since she was thirteen, teaching herself so she could accompany her own voice rather than sing alone. A regular solo performer around the Seacoast, she grew up on punk and classic rock, before discovering a deep love for various Americana and folk artists. Coyote Smoke marks her first time fronting a full band and has quickly become her most personal project to date.

On keys, Jeff Hayes brings a dynamic edge to the band’s sound. Originally a drummer, he turned to piano after auditioning for the popular transfusion rock band YAMN where he did not land the position- an experience that ultimately pushed him to develop his own distinctive style on keys.

Lead guitarist Rainor Vigneault previously recorded with legendary producer Steve Albini, Vigneault has also performed with River Sang Wild, appearing on the Little Hazy Stage at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion where the band opened for Dave Matthews two years in a row.

Bassist Aidan Delaney carries on a musical legacy through his
grandfather- a bassist in the 1960s for the country band Mickey Barnett and the Wranglers. Their single “Just a Memory” still circulates online today. Alongside him, driving the rhythm section is drummer Jed Allen, who also performs with the band Ghost Bird and plays regularly with Diaspora Radio at the notorious Press Room in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Together, Coyote Smoke delivers a powerful indie rock sound built on honest lyricism, and raw story telling, creating music that resonates with listeners from all walks of life.
